MARLA CHICOTSKY    Founding Partner, Attorney

Throughout her career, Marla has represented and defended high-profile clients, including NBA players and fortune 500 executives. Marla has abilities in trial litigation which include trying over 100 jury and non-jury trials and has litigated thousands of evidentiary hearings. Marla handles all types of family law matters such as dissolution of marriages, post dissolution of marriage enforcement issues, paternity actions, child time sharing issues, temporary and permanent restraining orders, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Marla also handles civil litigation matters from breaches of contract to collections. Moreover, Marla’s previous position as an Assistant State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit is an asset in her handling of all types of criminal defense matters ranging from driving under the influence, drug related offenses, domestic violence, and serious felony charges. 

Marla is a graduate of St. Thomas Law School in Miami, Florida and The University of Arizona. Marla has appeared on FOX News, HLN, and True TV as a legal commentator for national legal news. Marla is a member of the Florida Bar and The United States Southern District of Florida.

Outside of the office Marla enjoys working out, boating and spending time with her family.

Gregory R. Beck practices in the area of complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation, employment disputes, personal injury and medical malpractice. Mr. Beck also advises clients in the areas of business and real estate transactions, community association law and professional practice transitions. His diverse experience and professional background allows him to actively litigate and try cases in several practice areas. Mr. Beck was first employed with one of Florida’s largest law firms, where he actively litigated complex commercial disputes. He then worked with a prestigious boutique law firm, splitting time between the firm’s Florida and Texas offices, where he defended doctors, hospitals and nursing homes and gained extensive trial experience. Mr. Beck’s experience defending doctors and hospitals led to counseling medical doctors and dentists with all of their corporate-related needs, including practice transition and employment-related matters. Before forming Gregory R. Beck, P.A., Mr. Beck also actively litigated cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death on behalf of victims. 

Mr. Beck is a member of both The Florida Bar and The Texas Bar. In addition, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida.

 

Mr. Beck earned his B.A. from the University of Delaware. He earned his J.D. summa cum laude from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. During law school, Mr. Beck was an active and distinguished member of Nova’s student body. He was a member of the Nova Law Review, where his article J.A.S. v. State: Striking a Balance Between a Minor’s Right of Privacy and Florida’s Interest in Protecting Adolescent Development was chosen to be published. As a member of Moot Court, Mr. Beck competed on Nova's National Moot Court Team, earning the Best Advocate award during national interscholastic competition. Mr. Beck also served as an Honor Court Defender and upon graduation was an Order of the Barrister recipient.
